This moment from Batgirl #50 is probably the ultimate Cass moment.  Though Batman has been a surrogate father figure for her, she’s ultimately not loyal to him.  She’s not loyal to any man, or any single person.  She’s inspired by the idea of being something greater than herself.  Events and characters in Gotham tend to revolve around Bruce, but Cass shows that she measures herself by the ideals, not the man.
