Jane Foster In Thor the Mighty Avenger
You asked for some more Marvel stuff:
The girl’s don’t have to be bad-ass to have a THIS! moment chalked up. Throughout “Thor the Mighty Avenger” Jane Foster is portrayed as a fairly “traditional girlfriend” to the hero Thor. She doesn’t smack anyone down, or foil any villainy, or do anything “superheroic”. She does’nt make any “girl-power” statement. She is just Thor’s love smitten girlfriend….. but the energy she brings to every panel she is in is magic. she seems totally real to me….. and when i read the book i think: ” that’s exactly how meeting a handsome oaf of a thundergod would make ME feel.”
She becomes Thor’s “teacher” of sorts…. easing his transition from Asgaard into the world of humanity, and helping him to become more humble and human in the process.
the “Let us see wonders Jane” panel always just MELTS me.
