The Wonder Woman Animated Movie in 2009
I felt that the 2009 animated Wonder Woman film was so strong in so many ways. I have many friends who aren’t comic book fans and don’t like superhero movies; most of them are hardcore feminist / critical race theorists. They all loved this film. Keri Russell does a great job with Diana’s voice, making her fierce and unyielding. Virginia Madsen’s Hippolyta is wise but still kickass, and Rosario Dawson’s Artemis always pops up with a witty interjection just to keep things light. Seriously, if they made a live action film, all they’d have to do is remake this one. Don’t change a thing.
